Kinetic Epistomologies
Kinetic Epistemologies explores movement as a powerful system of knowledge. Rooted in the study of African and African Diaspora dance, this work examines how the body preserves history, carries cultural memory, and generates theory through motion. Through research, writing, and creative inquiry, Dr. Ofosuwa M. Abiola advances embodied knowledge as a vital source of cultural insight, intellectual innovation, and future-facing possibility.
Afrikinesis
Afrikinesis is a research paradigm for studying African and African Diaspora dance traditions as systems of embodied knowledge. The framework integrates movement analysis, aesthetic interpretation, and cultural context to examine how dance practices preserve and transmit historical memory, cultural philosophy, and social meaning.
