Voiceless Shouts, Unruly Arts & Embodied Resistance
A peer-reviewed, open-access digital journal

Some knowledge has never lived on the page.

It lives in bodies. In movement. In sound. In ritual. In creative acts that refuse silence.

Voiceless Shouts, Unruly Arts & Embodied Resistance is an upcoming peer-reviewed digital journal dedicated to the rigorous exploration of embodied knowledge and aesthetic resistance, with a focus on Africana, diasporic, Indigenous, and Global Majority perspectives. The journal centers creative and performative practices as theory-producing sites—archives of history, memory, advocacy, and political and social engagement.

Launching soon, the journal will publish interdisciplinary scholarship, practice-based research, and multimodal work that challenges colonial epistemologies, disrupts inherited archives, and expands how knowledge is created, documented, and shared. We welcome scholars and artists whose work moves between the academy, the studio, the street, and the digital sphere—and who understands the body as a critical site of knowing.

At a moment when technology accelerates and erasure intensifies, Voiceless Shouts insists on humanistic, embodied ways of knowing as essential to the future of the humanities, the arts, and global intellectual life.

The journal is currently assembling its editorial collective and preparing its inaugural issue.

Launch forthcoming.

Calls for editors and submissions coming soon.
